Dr. Silvia Mah is a San Diego entrepreneur, investor, educator, and servant leader committed to creating “Impact with Integrity.” As Director of Innovation and Associate Professor at Biola University’s Crowell School of Business, she helps students turn innovative ideas into meaningful ventures.

Dr. Mah is the founder and chairwoman of the Stella Foundation, which supports women-led businesses from startup through growth, and a co-founding venture partner at Ad Astra Ventures. She has invested in more than 200 early-stage companies led by women and other underrepresented founders.

A two-time TEDx speaker and author of The Startup Investor Mindset, Dr. Mah holds a Ph.D. in Marine Molecular Biology from Scripps Institution of Oceanography and an M.B.A. from UC San Diego. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, she enjoys beaches, Disney days, off-roading, family time—and strong coffee.
