ENCINITAS, Calif. — The Encinitas Coastal Rotary Club has officially adopted a new name: Coastal Encinitas Rotary. Club leaders say the change better reflects its coastal roots, strengthens community recognition, and highlights its growth as an active service organization.
Coastal Encinitas Rotary brings together community members and global partners with a shared purpose of making a difference locally and abroad. Members collaborate on community projects, international initiatives, and fellowship activities.
In 2024–25 alone, the club contributed more than $99,000 to programs ranging from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest San Diego (Griset Ranch, Encinitas) and Warrior Foundation Freedom Station, to foster youth initiatives and clean water projects in Guatemala.
“Our club is about creating opportunities to serve in ways that fit people’s lives,” said Club President Ralph Hirschmann. “Some members connect through a single event, others dive deep into ongoing projects—but every contribution builds meaningful ties and creates real impact.”
Beyond service, the club also emphasizes connection and camaraderie. Weekly lunches feature guest speakers and local leaders, while members often travel together, share meals, and support one another personally and professionally.
Visitors are welcome to see the club in action at its weekly Tuesday lunch gatherings, held at 12:15 p.m. at Cicciotti’s Cardiff. Additional information is available at coastalencinitasrotary.org.
